Jah Jerry Haynes
Real name: Jerome Haynes
Jamaican guitarist active 1949 - 2000. Best known as a founding member of The Skatalites, Haynes played with many bands and was a busy session guitarist, also composing many songs recorded by The Skatalites and others. Lived in NYC for a time in the 1980s.Born in Trench Pen, May 5 1927; died in Jones Town, August 13 2007, age 80.
