Freddie (Sugar Booger) Chapman. Born: February 6, 1918 - Died: January 17, 1999 A native of Middleboro, England, The family moved to Breslau, Pennsylvania where as a teen-ager, Fred won first prize in an amateur contest. That led to a 15-minutes, six day a week show on WBAX out of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. His WBAX stint went on for a couple years before he joined Earl Taylor's Revue in 1938. With that group, he toured the south and parts of Mexico. In 1953, he was a Capitol recording artist.
