Bo Wiklund Free Music

Bo Wiklund

Swedish composer and pianist, born in Stockholm in 1964.

He graduated with a master's degree in individual music from the Gothenburg Academy of Music, where I studied composition, classical piano, improvisation (jazz), electronic music and percussion in 1984-88. I studied for Elisif Lundén in classical piano music and Anders Jormin as teacher in improvisational music, He also had several jazz piano teachers during my time on the education. He studied composition for Pavol Šimai in the subject counter-point, Lennart Hall in form and work analysis and Harald Stenström in work analysis and instrumentation.
He is now an active composer and pianist (keyboardist) with his base in Gothenburg. He has written music for films, productions at Gothenburg City Theater and performances with modern dance, but have mainly composed music for the experimental improvisation ensembles Turbulens, Surge and Cue Act where he is also included as a musician. He has composed music for four critically acclaimed CDs. He has also played with Bohuslän Big Band's Zappa project.
