Rhythm & blues singer and pianist, who first recorded for Imperial in Los Angeles, California, in 1947-1949, and then for Aladdin in the same city in 1954.
Lewis also recorded with The Rhythm-Riffers for Selective in 1949, with The Barons for Modern in 1951, and accompanied Marvin Phillips on Specialty recordings in 1952.

Do not confuse with doo wop singer Richard Lewis (2) of The Silhouettes fame.
