Grew up in Detroit, MI and played guitar in The Leisure Class under the alias Sal Monella.
After studying at Mannes College of Music interned in 1992 at Axis Studios.
Became a partner at TMF Studios in 1997 and started Maelstrom Music, a sound design company. Also associated with Dangerous Studios and Flux Studios.
Relocated to Woodstock, NY in the mid 2000s, was Chief Engineer at Sneaky Studios, Garrison, NY and worked sessions at The Clubhouse, Rhinebeck, NY and Flux Studio, New York City.
Relocated to Los Angeles, CA in 2018.
