Real name: Juan Moreno Jiménez

Juan Moreno Jiménez, flamenco guitarist known as "Juan Morao" and "Moraíto Chico", was born in Jerez de la Frontera in 1935 and died in 2002 and was buried in his hometown. As a member of a well-known flamenco family (brother of Manuel Morao and father of the guitarist Moraíto Chico), Juan Morao turned professional at a very young age and was part of numerous Madrid tablaos, Juan Morao was a supporter of the Jerez guitarist school, the one started by Javier Molina and followed by his brother Manuel Morao, whose shows he has been associated with lately. His last performance in Madrid took place at the Teatro Albéniz, along with Chocolate and María Vargas, during the 1999 festival. His funeral was a deep demonstration of mourning by the flamenco family and the residents of the Santiago district.
