Sumire was born in December of 1992 in the prefecture of Fukushima, Japan.
She has two older sisters and an older brother, she became interested in music because of her sister who played the piano and was member of a band.
In middle school she became interested in athletics and joined the tennis club and the track and field club, her sports career was temporally interrupted after she broke her leg in a car accident.
When she entered high school she became interested in forming a band and in her second year she bought her first guitar with her pocket money, later she formed a band with her classmates,
She was scouted as a model during a high school excursion.
After graduating from school she moved to Tokyo, soon she started to work for the fashion magazine "CUTiE" where she met Hinanchu who was also interested in music
