The Orchestra Roy Livingstone does not seam to have been a stable formation under one conductor or musical director, as identical recordings have also been released from and under the names Orchester Manfred Minnich, Orchester Herbert Küster, Orchester James Patterson and Dixie-Studio-Band, so it seems obvious that the name Roy Livingstone was used for performances by different formations in order to establish a brand or recognition value. There is no doubt, that composer, orchestra leader and producer Herbert Küster had the main responsibility for these recordings, as he was involved in a significant number of titles as producer and composer, also under various pseudonyms. Other musicians and composers involved were, for example, Hans Ehrlinger, Heribert Thusek, Kurt Becker, Louis Freichel, Karl Heinz Kröll and Frank Pleyer.
