From the liner notes for the LP ‘Immortal Philippine Folk Dances’ (release date not indicated, but probably about 1972):
“Mr. Buena, himself, is a well-respected figure in Philippine musical circles. He is a complete musician; a composer, an arranger, and most of all, a rondalla leader. For nearly thirty years now, he has been active as a Musical Director, having been connected as such with various top radio shows. At present, he is the Musical Director of the Philippine Broadcasting Service.”
