Inemy Chain

Late in 1999, Dave Trewhella began to recruit musicians for a musical project. He started out with his good friend Dennis Kaups as vocalist, Bob Laurie as Bass player, Brian Hazelwood on drums, and Jon Bretch strumming the 6 string. He recruited Shawn Hickman to play the 2nd guitar, and Dave would be mixing on the turn tables. Kevin Henderson joined the band, shortly after the start up, and filled out the crew as the second vocalist.

A few months into the Band, The name Inemy-Chain was agreed upon. This is the meaning:This Flesh that we are born into is both a gift and a curse, but it wasn’t that way from the beginning. God has always given us a choice. A loving Father, letting us chose Right from wrong, so that we will understand his plan. But there is an Enemy deep within, constantly battling to take control through trickery and lies. We must fight this Enemy and bind him up with the strongest Chains, so that the real us can be set free to do the will of the one who loves us.

Soon after the completion, it was understood that Brian, newly married, would leave to pursue other endeavors. Dave filled in on drums until Verian Brotzman came to become the next drummer. I.C. performed several shows in PA, MD and OH, and had just began recording a 3 song demo when Verian brioke the news. He would be leaving to pursue His dream of a power pop band.

Through all of that, The dedication of all the members has led to many tremendous shows and a real comradery to one another.

"I break ties with the ties that bind as I lock tight my life by destroying my mind. Whats Christ like?”
