Effective period / Period of releases: 1965 - 1968

Vocal troupe originally formed in third ward Newark in the 1950s as Troupe Singers, essentially a group of three high school students including Inez Kerr, Jo Jackson and Sylvia Jackson. Later became The Four-and-One after adding pianist Benny Carter and narrator Bernard Moore. Voices Incorporated was initially a fund-raising program for the NAACP.
