Swedish actor, singer, director and pedagogue and professor emerita at the College of Theater and Music at the University of Gothenburg, born February 18, 1945 in Säffle.She was educated at the Statens Scenskola in Gothenburg 1966-69. She has been employed at Stora Teatern, Stockholm City Theater and Riksteatern. She became nationally known in 1973 as a house artist and hostess in Nya tiotusenkronorsfrån and has played in revues and farces with Gösta Bernhard, Nils Poppe and Hagge Geigert and others.
Gunilla Gårdfeldt has long been a teacher at the College of Stage and Music at the University of Gothenburg in Scenic/Musical Communication and Drama, where she was promoted to professor in 2003.
She has been elected Gothenburg's Ada three times. Tram no. 326 in Gothenburg bears her name.
Since 1966 married to Lars-Göran Carlsson.
