The story of Bronswick begins in the summer of 2014, when Bertrand Pouyet crosses paths with Catherine Coutu while searching for a vocalist who could bring soul to his compositions. After a few experiments, Bertrand falls under the spell of Catherine’s charm and sensibility, qualities which lend a breath of fresh air to the project.
Listening to Bronswick will no doubt evoque 80s franco influences such as Étienne Daho and Mylène Farmer, but the duo also channels the dark, mysterious energy of contemporary acts such as The Knife or The xx.
After an intriguing performance at M For Montreal, the duo releases their first single, Tout Effacer, which soon becomes very popular on indie radios.
