Brilliant Quartette
This was the first vocal group to be widely featured by Columbia, recording many popular and Negro songs in the early 1890s. The members were never identified. A group named the Brilliant Quartet--which may or may not be the same--recorded similar material for Berliner in the late 1890s. Its members were identified as Messrs. Marion, Miller, Marsh and Rapp.
