William Randall "Bill" Henderson (b.March 19, 1926, Chicago, Illinois, USA – d.April 3, 2016) was an American jazz singer and actor in television and film. He began his career in the early 50's, often performing with Ramsey Lewis. Between 1959 and 1961 he recorded for Vee-Jay in New York. He spent two years with the Count Basie Orchestra, recorded with Oscar Peterson and Horace Silver and worked with Count Basie in Las Vegas in 1965. Shortly after, Bill Cosby introduced him to acting. Since then he lived in Los Angeles and pursued an active career in film and television.
