Real name: Martin Stääf

Born in Varberg, Sweden, Martin grew up with an interest in electronic equipment and fantasy literature & film. Into music from the very beginning, he started playing the piano at the age of four but was not really satisfied until he got hold of his first synthesizer five years later. Since then, he has been producing a various blend of music, ranging from fluffy ambient to brutal hardcore techno. Martin moved to Gothenburg as soon as he finished school and started to work in a recording studio as a sound engineer. Some months later he ran across Patrik Olsén who was attending a course in the studio and within a few weeks the Necton project was a fact. Martin left Necton in 2005 to concentrate on his solo project Liquid Stranger.
