OVTRENOIR (official capitalization) is a post-metal/sludge/post-hardcore band from Paris, France.

Ovtrenoir might be a new name within the post-metal genre, but the band consists of members that have been around the block a few times. For instance, singer William Lacalmontie is known for his incredible photography, and Dehn Sora is perhaps best known for his musical output with Treha Sektori, while Julien Taubregeas made quite a dent with The Great Divide. Joined by Angeline Seguelas they recorded their debut EP "Eroded". The milage of the individual band members shines through, as the music sounds strong, familiar and yet has a very fresh touch to the genre. This is post-metal/sludge on its best, and sounds stellar. A real treat to start off the new year.
