This young Amsterdam based Australian has had a buzzing year with as the cherry on the gigs-cake last year’s applauded opening slot at Dekmantel Festival. Now, a year later, he’s gaining exposure at, what seems, almost everywhere. All the way from wavy ambient sounds laid across African drums, dusty 80s funk and early days techno to lo-fi electro sounding like it’s been ripped straight from a floppy disk: if you’re here for recognizable sing-alongs, Abysmal is not your guy.
