Olof Höjer

Real name: Anders Olof Höjer

Swedish classical pianist and accompanist, born September 15, 1937 in Karlstad, died 9 January 2024. Höjer studied piano at Richard Andersson's music school in Stockholm, and later for Gottfrid Boon, as well as theory and composition for Gunnar Bucht and musicology at Uppsala University. He made recordings of, a. o., Maurice Karkoff and Sven-Erik Bäck, as well as the complete piano music of Erik Satie and Wilhelm Peterson-Berger. He also published an essay about the composer Viking Dahl's life and work.
