American profesional baseball player, singer, actor & minister.Born September 12, 1934 in Alhambra, California, USA.
Died February 21, 2023 (aged 88) in La Quinta, California, USA.
Pearson was a Major League Baseball player 1958–66. He was the smallest player in the Major Leagues throughout his career at 5’5″ 140-lbs. Pearson was the American League's Rookie of the Year in 1958.
After his sports career he was a balladeer and ordained a minister. He started a Riverside youth foundation, which focused on helping children stay off drugs, founded a non-profit organization providing training for pastors and ministers, and set up churches and orphanages in Ecuador and Zambia.
