The actor of the GRIPS-Theater Holger Franke founded in 1971/72 with others the socially committed realistic children's theater Rote Grütze in West-Berlin (Germany). Co-founder and actors were: Helma Fehrmann (1944-2010), Dagmar Dorsten, Günter Brombacher (1950-2012), Reinhold Schäfer and Alfred Cybulska.
The first project was the sexual education piece "Darüber spricht man nicht" (One does not speak) in 1973, which has been shown in over 40 productions at home and abroad, including in Japan, Canada and Kenya.
