Singer-songwriter, researcher and folklorist of great renown in the national and international field, Hernán Marín was born in Cumaná, Sucre state, Venezuela, in
October 1940, in the old street Mariño. This artist became a researcher of ancestral music and is currently one of the most prized exponents of Venezuelan folklore and especially joropo.
He starts singing at the age of 10, at 18 he forms occasional groups of partying, to later join the Anaco group. Later, he founded the Oriente Group under the direction of the renowned and remembered Santiago Arismendi.
Beginning in 1975, Hernán Marín began recording recordings that included compilations of folklore and songs of his authorship.
