The men's choir "Blagovest" was founded in 1991 on the basis of the men's choir of the Nizhny Novgorod Annunciation Monastery under the direction of the Honored Artist of Russia Лев Панкратов and continued in its activities the spiritual and educational traditions of the St. John of Damascus church and singing brotherhood (existed from 1912 to 1917).
Chapel "Blagovest" owns the art of performing works of various styles and genres.
