Dutch singer, born in Amsterdam on June 19, 1978.

At the age of 6 she first performed at the Jordaan Festival in Amsterdam and became second in her first talent show. In 1994, at the age of 16, she won the Soundmix Show on Dutch national TV with her performance of Whitney Houston's "One Moment In Time".

After this she started a career as a professional singer, with mixed success. Initially she recorded in English. In 2005, she represented the Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest, but failed to pass the semi-finals.

In 2006 she recorded her first album in the Dutch language. In 2011, she was one of the participants of the Dutch TV show "De Beste Zangers Van Nederland". Her performance of the Volumia! hit "Afscheid" was stunning and the video on YouTube was viewed over a million times within a month. The song was released and went straight to number 1 in the Dutch charts in April 2011.
