Biography
The Pretty Shirts
The Pretty Shirts was formed in A Guarda (Pontevedra, Galicia, Spain) in 2009 when members coming from prior bands decided to join in order to create raw and straight R'n'R willing to step on every stage they'll find along their way
After two years of rehearsals and gigs in Galicia and Portugal, The Pretty Shirts went into the studio (October 2011) and they cut their debut EP "So good to be right
here", containing 5 intense R'n'R and garage rock recorded nearly live at the studio. After hitting the road and many gigs, a year later, David Baz (founder bassist) decided to quit and the band focused in writing new songs searching for harder sounds while looking for the right replacement for the bassist vacancy.
2013 The Pretty Shirts went back to the stages, having in mind the release of a new album. In June, 2014 the band releases an advance single entitled “Ain’t no another love
song”
In April, 2015 they tape a self-titled long play in Baixo Miño Estudios. The record features 8 tracks reflecting on one hand the energy the band delivers playing live, but in the other hand the quietest side of themselves, which was not present on prior recordings.
The band is currently formed by members:
Miguel D. Lomba (vocals), Miguel Castro (guitar and backing vocals), Álvaro Vázquez (bass) y Manuel González (drums and backing vocals)
