Singer/songwriter, born in Ghent (Belgium) on June 22, 1978 to a Belgian mother and a South African father. After spending his school years in South Africa he returned to Belgium. He won the Flanders Songfestival in 1999 with a song he had written himself. That same year he released his first single "Cecilia" under the name "Chris Morton". In 2003 he participated in the Belgian edition of "Idols", got through to the finals and eventually ended at fifth place.
