Swedish composer, born on 30 May 1958.

He grew up in Värmland, lived and worked in Stockholm for several years and is now back in Värmland.

He is educated at the Academy of Music in Örebro and made his debut in 1982 with some mobile piano pieces at Riddarhuset in Stockholm. The composer and organist Karl-Erik Welin was Lars Jergen's mentor throughout the 1980s and Welin performed several of Olson's compositions.
