In 1995, BAKWOODZ emerged out of the minds of three talented young individuals Hadji, Ali, and Shakim. Within the next three years, this N.C. crew enhanced their ranks to include the lyrical talents of J-Sleez, Impact, and Bronx Natives, Hitch and Sonny Black. Having performed at various local clubs as well as the Harlem School of Arts, BAKWOODZ began putting in hard time seeking major label deals, they finally found a home in an up and coming upstart label, Spot Rushaz Entertainment. The artists are currently working on their debut album PLATINUM STATUS to be released summer 2001 and will be releasing the first single “To Whoever” in late June of 2001.
