Jan Erik "Fjellis" Fjellström

Real name: Jan Erik Fjellström

Effective period / Period of releases: 1981 - 1991

Swedish guitarist, born June 7, 1951 in Motala, died April 27, 1999 in Malmö.

He played with, among others, Mikael Wiehe, Peps Persson, Totta Näslund and Björn Afzelius. His interpretations of Robert Johnson's songs with a National steel "sheet metal guitar" along with a story about Mr. Johnson's life and life were appreciated.

In the years 2000 to 2020, the Fjellis Prize (Fjellisstipendiet) was awarded in his memory.
