Real name: Andrew "Bear' James

One of the original members of Midnight Oil, Andrew "Bear" James (Bass) joined Farm in 1972 with Jim Moginie (Guitar/Keyboards) and Rob Hirst (Drums) to tour the Australian coastal towns during University holidays. With the arrival of Peter Garrett (Vocals) and Martin Rotesy (Guitar) Midnight Oil was born. Andrew James played on their first album Midnight Oil and its follow-up Head Injuries before the band's rigorous touring and production schedule took its toll and he left the band in April 1979.
