Philip Jenkins

Philip Jenkins was born in newcastle, Staffs., and studied with Harold Craxton at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where he himself is now a Professor of Piano. He Represented the R.A.M at concerts in Paris, Cologne and Brussels, and received important awards including Macfarren Gold Medal and the Dove Prize for distinguished studentship. On leaving the R.A.M he continued his studies, first with Jaques Fevrier in Paris, and later with Dame Myra Hess.Dr Malcolm Hill - from back cover of Gaudeamus KRS 37. (correct as of 1979)
