Artist, but also co-founder and co-owner of the label, Secretly Canadian, with Chris Swanson, since 1996. With Chris, Ben was also at the origin of the record company, Secretly Group, when Darius Van Arman has joined them with his own label, Jagjaguwar, in 1999. All together, they also co-founded the label, Dead Oceans, with the collaboration of Austin-based Phil Waldorf, in 2007. Then, Ben, Chris, Darius, and Dave Hansen, formerly general manager of the US label, Epitaph, co-founded the pressing company located in Bordentown, New Jersey (USA), Independent Record Pressing, in 2015.
