Real name: Luis Felipe Ramón y Rivera
Luis Felipe Ramón y Rivera (Táchira State; 1913 - Caracas 1993) Venezuelan violinist, composer, teacher, writer and folklorist. He began his folklore studies in 1940 in Venezuela, which he later perfected in Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina. In the latter country he formed a chamber orchestra with which he cultivated traditional Venezuelan music and other countries on the continent. In 1952 he returned to Caracas. for the following year, form the National Typical Complex under the protection of the Venezuelan Government.
