Real name: John De Chiaro

American classical guitarist. Served as Professor of Guitar at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Mississippi for 25 years. Later worked as a high school string teacher and choir director in Alexandria, Louisiana before relocating to Florence, Alabama in fall 2020 where he now teaches at University of North Alabama. Perhaps best-known for his arrangements of the complete rags, waltzes, and marches of Scott Joplin for classical guitar, which he recorded on four volumes for Centaur and published through Mel Bay. His arrangements of Ravel and Satie are also well-regarded.
