Real name: Katja Ruge & Frank Husemann

Members: Frank Husemann, Katja Ruge

Hailing from Hamburg Katja Ruge and Frank Husemann are better known as Can Love Be Synth.
They are In Love with old analog machines and define their sound in the legendary Synthesizerstudio
Hamburg. A synth collectors paradise hidden behind big grey walls of a Bunker and the U&G Club.

Katja run`s her party series „Kann denn Liebe Synthie sein?“ for almost 10 years where she plays
the music that she loves from Italo, New Wave, Cosmic Sounds to Dark Disco.
She invited Essaie Pas, Cosmetics, Josh Cheon, Wolfram, Italo Brutalo, Curses, Neil Landstrumm
The Emperor Machine, Perel or Local Suicide.
Many also know Katja s portrait photography of Âme, The Hacker, Helena Hauff, Robag Wruhme,
DJ Koze and many many more.

Frank played in several bands, was running a store where he sold analog gear and works as a sound
technician in clubs. But also for important projects like The Fridays For Future Movement.

The Two got together to enjoy the machines and sounds in the Synthesizerstudio but very fast started
to do remixes for people such as Cerrone, Ruede Hagelstein or Polly Scattergood on Mute Records.

In 2017 they had their first own release with „Megapulser" on Bordello A Parigi and continued in 2020
with own releases on Ombra INT. and TAU. 2021 will be a release on A CLEAN CUT.
