In fiction, Sing Street were a teenage group of New Wave "Futurists" formed in 1985 in Dublin, Ireland. In reality, Sing Street is the main cast of John Carney's 2016 film of the same name, and acts as the alias of the studio musicians who performed the original music for the soundtrack. Ferdia Walsh-Peelo is the only member of the cast to actually perform in the recording of the songs. The band was named after the real life of school of Synge Street CBS.
