Stephen Gould was a celebrated tenor who specialized in the operas of Richard Wagner. He began his career as a baritone and later switched to tenor, gaining recognition for his powerful voice and stamina. He performed at the prestigious Bayreuth Festival for 18 years, singing challenging roles such as Tannhäuser, Siegfried and Tristan. He also appeared at the Metropolitan Opera, the Royal Opera House and other major opera houses around the world.
