Damage Control

Effective period / Period of releases: 2017

Damage Control are a global industrial electronic act, formed in 2012 by a group of eclectic transoceanic songwriters and producers Bill Barsby (originally UK; currently Melbourne, Australia) with Damian Davis (Sydney, Australia), Markus App (Karlsruhe, Germany) and Jason Podmore (Birmingham, UK). The project is made possible by reciprocating solo studio jam sessions transmitted via cutting edge remote collaboration tools. Documenting and protesting this world through the eyes of empowered minds and machines.

Member History
Long time friends and musical collaborators Bill Barsby and Damian Davis met in Sydney and have an elaborate history of experimenting in Cubase with vintage synthesisers and revolutionary software together. This is how and where the seed of Damage Control was cultivated. Damian's solo project Lux Voltaire has opened for Nitzer Ebb and VNV Nation.

Markus App was discovered in 2010 through his work under the Noonatac pseudonym. Captivating Bill Barsby with compelling soundscape original tracks and his creative remixes for bands including Dismantled, Frontline Assembly, Sleepthief, UCNX and Scream Machine as well as opening for [:SITD:].
Friends and musical cohorts since the late 80's in the UK, it was in Birmingham, England around that time when Bill Barsby and Jason Podmore first started their musical adventure together. Exploring samplers and drum machines, analog synths and effects. Culminating in gigs, small projects and collaborations later adding computers and sequencers in the 90's, Jason joined Damage Control at the end of 2015.
