Ronnie was a British music hall singer and "siffleur" (whistler). He was famous for his pristine singing voice and clear yodelling (he studied this in Switzerland), gaining acceptance with connoisseurs of Alpine music around the world. He was probably most famous for his incredible bird song imitations that remain unsurpassed to this day.
