Once the Banda Municipal De Irun was dissolved in 1972, in 1973 the Banda De Música "Ciudad De Irun" was created, with the same components and with Primitivo Azpiazu Barandiaran as conductor, next conductors were José Antonio Canoura Etxebeste (1976-1990), José Antonio Irastorza Martiarena (1991), René Zugarramurdi Altolaguirre (1992-1997), Juan José Iturrioz Niño (1997-2008), Iñaki Gurruchaga Azpiazu (2008-¿?) and Garikoitz Gonzalez Munduate (second conductor Miguel Sansiñena Vergara).
