Real name: Thomas Austin Simpson

Macro/micro is a search for deeper, intuitive truths about the relationship between inner and outer space. Helmed by Los Angeles native, Tommy Simpson, his take on IDM/Experimental Electronic Music is a spiritually wholistic one, unafraid to dive deep into the darkness within us all to unearth a guiding light.

Tommy grew up training in several instruments starting at the age of 5 and began writing and recording his own songs at 13. Since then, he's released multiple albums as Macro/micro, composed music for film/TV/advertising as well as contemporary theater and art installations and performed live across the world. From Jan 2019 - July 2021, he was an audio engineer for Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross, assisting them daily on their scores for WATCHMEN, WAVES, SOUL and MANK, as well as the Nine Inch Nails albums "Ghosts V & VI" and the Halsey album they produced "If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power".
