Julia Schwartz, born in 1963 in Columbus, Ohio, is a Swiss-American composer, musician and vocalist. She lives now in Frauenfeld, Switzerland. She studied vocals at Oberlin College Conservatory and continued her education in Munich and Zurich, where she also worked in music theory. Starting in 1992, she composed numerous musical works in classical and experimental genre. She is an active vocalist and works also as a vocal teacher.
