Australian singer-songwriter, based in Canberra, ACT.

Johnny Huckle is a descendant of the Wiradjuri Nation, born in the central NSW town of Condobolin and raised on the 'Murie' Aboriginal reserve. At age 23 Johnny moved to Canberra and joined a local Aboriginal band called 'Black Pearl'. In 1980 he became a full time performer at the Tumbled Tree Bistro where he performed mainly covers. Over the next four years he performing throughout Western NSW and Queensland. In 1994 he formed the duo Dirabang with Merve Graham. In 1997 Johnny became the lead vocalist in the Canberra based Aboriginal band "River Bank". In 1999 Johnny joined Helen Moran and they began performing as the Aboriginal duo Shades Of Brindle. Johnny has toured all over Australia, both as a soloist and as a band or duo member, and toured internationally since 1997.
