Johnny Zee was the name adopted by Coventry-born Tarsame 'Taz' Singh Saini, when he first emerged as a recording artist in 1989. His music was a hybrid of Punjabi folk, Hindi, and English music, fused with Western pop sensibilities, and the debut "Hit The Deck" became one of the biggest selling Bhangra fusion releases of all time.(23 May 1967 – 29 April 2022)
