At the beginning of the 80's Renato Capriles, who was not happy with handling Los Melódicos, La Grande, Los Solitas and La Chica, created a fifth group and placed it in Valencia. It was La Inmensa. Capriles moved to the capital of Carabobo and rented a house located on Bolivar Avenue north of the city, in the vicinity of La Ceiba. There, he set up a party business, which he called Fiestas La Inmensa and in that place were the offices of the new orchestra. 'La Inmensa' was founded on August 5, 1980. Among its founding musicians were José "Pepe" Molina (sax and director); Andrea Brachfel (flute); Omaira Pérez, Martín Rodríguez and José Castillo (saxos); Alfredo Molina, Julio Barráez and Ricardo Díaz (trumpets); Eduardo Villa, Israel Díaz and Luis Arocha (trombones); Alfredo Sojo (piano); Carlos Barreto (bass); Mario Rodríguez (drums); Rubén Suárez (tumbadora) and Guillermo León (bongo).
