Spånka is a musical collective and an underground house label based in Norrköping, 200 km south of Stockholm. Spånka, that consists of 4 different teams of producers and musicians, are the true defenders of classic house in Sweden, very much inspired by legendary artists like Larry Heard and Little Louis Vega. They have released records on their own label since 1998 and in 2002 they finally got some sort of payback for all the struggle when they received this years Swedish grammy award in the Club music category. In late 2003 Spånka have updated their studio, building up expectations for 2004 when they plan to release another album plus another, yet secret project.
