American singer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, founding member of Smash Mouth.

Died September 4th, 2023 in Boise, Idaho, USA.
Harwell started his musical career as a rapper with the group F.O.S. before switching to alternative rock. He formed Smash Mouth in 1994 with three other musicians and released six studio albums with them. He also appeared on a reality show, “The Surreal Life,” in 2006. In 2021 he retired from performing after struggling with health and behavioral issues and died of liver failure in 2023.
