Originally from Waterloo, Iowa, Suzanne Stephens (born July 28, 1946) is a clarinetist and longtime collaborator with Karlheinz Stockhausen, with whom she lived for many years in Kürten. She has performed his works since 1974, with many of the pieces dedicated to her, and she also teaches the advanced instrumental techniques necessary for the performance of his compositions.
Together with Kathinka Pasveer, she now takes care of the Stockhausen Foundation for Music.
