American composer and musician born August 31, 1939, in Hillsboro, Texas Best known as drummer of The Crickets. He took the alias Ivan for a couple of songs, "Real Wild Child", (which was amongst others covered by Iggy Pop 28 years later) and "Frankie Frankenstein" (1959, Coral 62081). Died August 22, 2022
