Alfred O'Shea
Real name: Alfred Charles Shea

Australian tenor (b. Sydney 30 Nov., 1889 - d. England 14 March 1954)Studied with Griffin Foley and a member of his Gregorian Choristers c.1905. Worked on the Fuller's variety circuit in 1915 (billed as "Alfred Shea"). Studied in Europe c. early 1920s then returned to Australia to tour with Melba-Williamson Grand Opera Company in 1924. Many radio & concert appearances 1925-1929. Involved in much publicised divorce scandal in 1928 and left for the U.S. in Jan., 1930. Concerts and tours in the U.S. 1931-1936. Moved to England in the late 1930s.
